WVS - Large-scale campaign in Cambodia kick offs today!

20 Oct 2025

The two-week drive kicks off today, running from 20th to 31st October.

The two-week drive kicks off today, running from 20th to 31st October, where over 150 vaccination teams will be working their way door to door through the Provinces of Phnom Penh, Kandal, and Battambang. This will be our third annual campaign in Cambodia, and last year just under 230,000 dogs were vaccinated making it Asia’s largest mass dog rabies drive to date.

WVS will be spearheading the drive (through our Mission Rabies project) working in close collaboration with General Directorate of Animal Health and Production (GDAHP). Mass dog vaccination programmes are proven to be the most effective way to stop the spread of the disease, to protect human and animal lives. The annual campaign integrates with Cambodia’s ‘National Strategic Plan for Rabies Control and Elimination’ of which WVS is a lead consultant.

Alongside the vaccination drive, we are running a mobile treatment team where we will be responding to reports of sick or injured animals across Phnom Penh. Additionally, a free spay/neuter service will be available.
