Registrations are now open for the 2026 Integrative Veterinary Conferences Australia (IVCA) annual conference, taking place in Newcastle NSW from 15 to 18 October.
The four-day event will feature veterinary speakers from Australia, New Zealand, Norway and the United States, examining the gut microbiome in relation to nutrition, behaviour and disease management.
This year’s theme is What a Wonderful World of the Gut & Microbiome. The program includes interactive workshops, presentations and face-to-face networking opportunities for veterinary professionals.
US keynote speaker Dr Judy Morgan, integrative veterinarian and bestselling author, will present on using food to influence animal behaviour, food energetics in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, and natural approaches to pancreatitis prevention and treatment.
Additional program topics include microbiome testing, the gut-soil connection, ozone therapy, canine skin disease and maggot therapy in wound care.
“IVCA was established to provide quality, affordable and inclusive educational opportunities for veterinarians, vet nurses and veterinary students interested in the growing field of integrative medicine,” said Dr Kathy Cornack, integrative veterinarian and founder of IVCA.
“Our annual conference brings together quality speakers with expertise across different areas of integrative medicine. It also gives vets, veterinary nurses and technicians time to relax, exchange ideas, make connections and inspire one another in a small and welcoming environment.”
The conference is open to registered veterinarians, veterinary nurses, veterinary technicians and veterinary students. Veterinary nurses and full time veterinary students are eligible for a 30 per cent discount. The event is supported by Platinum Sponsors Frontier Pets and NTT Pet, and Gold Sponsors HempPet and VetFX.
